KPS Delivers 250th Store for Central England Co-Operative Society

Key Property Solutions are pleased to announce the successful handover of our project at Ashbourne Road, Derby which represents the 250th store opened by the Central England Co-Operative Society, which was formerly known as Midland Co-Operative Society.

This project was undertaken on the site of the former Friargate Service Station and the initial works included demolishing the existing buildings and PFS. During construction of the store, it was necessary to continuously monitor for gas emissions from the in situ storage tanks.

Once the Site was cleared, work commenced on construction of the new store, which was of steel frame construction, with brickwork and cladding to the exterior. The store covers an area of 5,000 square feet.

John Maltby – Central England Co-Operative Society President was delighted to launch the company’s 250th food store and thanked our On Site Manager, Shaun Masey, for the quality of the project and its delivery on time and to programme.

Paul Dennis – Head of Food Operations for Central England Co-Operative Society said that the store looked uplifting, and was delighted with the support received from Key Property Solutions in the successful delivery of the store.
